The Blue Scribes are classic Tzeentch characters whom I’ve long liked. I just like the idea of this little disc, zooming around the battlefield with a couple of Blue Horrors scribbling away. It’s fun. It’s very Tzeentch. I bought the resin model for this unit and I built it. Here’s what that model looked like:

Cool, innit?
I dropped it.
I dropped it onto concrete.
God damnit.
So, with my original model shattered, I settled on doing a conversion instead. I salvaged the books and some other accessories from the original model and incorporated them into the new one.
Truth be told, it’s a bit busy, and perhaps a bit too colourful, but it was fun. Well, mostly. I do wish I’d painted it in pieces before sticking it together. It was not an easy model to paint in terms of really getting the brush into the nooks and crannies.
Still, fun!

Not sure what’s next on the slate, but likely some Nurgle-themed Slaves to Darkness characters. We’ll see!

As someone who had dropped a few models in his time, I am so much happier with plastic models, or even Bones, compared to resin. It’s just too much of a risk for someone with my track record! The new scribes are looking nice though.

Nice work. I’m glad that something as cool as this comes from something as annoying as dropping an expensive resin mini. I’m a fan of brightly coloured minis, they look much more fun on the tabletop.
