Following on from my Neferata and my Prince Vhordrai, the latest character for my city-themed Soulblight Gravelord army has arrived! It’s Mannfred, one of the few characters who won’t be either proxied or kitbashed in this otherwise themetastic force. Honestly, I bought the Mortarch box to make Neferata and just felt I should probably use the rest of the kit for something. The only conversion here is the fact that Mannfred is holding the Warhammer, Ghal Maraz. I had it left over from the Vhordrai build.
I also added a wee birdy from the old Bretonnian Knights of the Realm kit.
The model as a whole is a wee bit rough, but he matches the others, so I’m pretty happy overall. This is definitely a kit where I’d have benefitted from painting it before putting it all together. There are some places I just couldn’t quite get to.
This brings my Soulblight up to approximately 1210 points, but this is entirely through large heroes, and the army is not usable at all at the moment. Here are the three finished characters:
