There are Kickstarter campaigns that are big, sweeping, complex affairs, and there are smaller, simpler projects that are more focused. This project would be one of the latter. It promises a number of 3D-printable basing bits, and that’s what you get; a ton of little STLs intended to add to your basing.
Usually, at this point, I’d start looking at the details of a project. This time, I think I’m best to just share some images. Here’s a bunch of the models that you’ll get in this set:
Rubble, animals, fortifications, objects, electronics, plantlife… there’s so much in here! You’ll also notice that this campaign is numbered as the second of its kind. GoonMaster has already delivered on a previous campaign for similar items, which should bolster the faith of any would-be backers.
So, we have good content from a proven company that has delivered before. What about value? Let’s start by not worrying about postage, which is a regular issue with Kickstarter campaigns. With the product being entirely digital, this isn’t a factor. The price for this bundle of over 500 STLs is £28. That’s not too bad. There have been cheaper STL bundles, but this does seem pretty decent for what you’re getting. Increase your pledge to £52 and you’ll also get the contents of the previous campaign. I’d say that’s pretty good value, all in all.
