Throwback Thursday: What Makes a ‘Good’ Year in the Hobby?

As we round off this year’s resolutions and start thinking about what we want to achieve in 2024, it seems a good time to link back to this post. It muses on what a good year in the hobby looks like.

What do we want to achieve? How do we measure a good year?

Good questions, though I’m not sure I give altogether satisfying answers.

It occurs to me that this is the first year that I have actually completed my resolutions. That feels pretty good, and it’s not for a lack of ambition.

This year’s resolutions have covered a wide variety of things, including painting, RPGs, board games, reviews, and DTRPG content. I like the breadth of what I was going for this year, with a bit more depth when it came to painting.

I’d call this a good year.
