A couple of chaps from my local gaming club, The Northern Knights, have set up a stall at the Caithness Model Show. This is an event held every year in Wick. Usually, I would pop by at some point over the weekend to vote in the painting contest, but this year I am travelling and wont be bacm until after the show packs up. The guys have shared some pictures of the setup, and I was excited to share it, in turn, with y’all!
Honestly, it really doesn’t feel all that long since last year’s show!
First up, we have some 40K and AoS:

Most of the painting for the displays, except for the painting contest entries and one of my armies featured in the 40K section, was done by two of our members, who are also the guys manning the stall. You can find them both on Instagram as Adrificer and Rysaer. I’d have liked to put some models in this year, as I did last year, but not being around, and being ill in the weeks before, I’ve just not been able to.
Next up, we’ve got some Warhammer Underworlds:

I like that we’re featuring Underworlds this time because we are in the midst of an Underworlds League, so it does give a good impression of what we’re actually playing at the moment.
Here’s a shot of some more models from the booth:

Some gorgeous miniatures here, but the most important bits of this display are the painting contest entries! Here’s a closeup of the entries:

Voting takes place at the show, with passersby asked to cast their votes. Eagle-eyed readers may spot my own entry in this event!
I’m keen to see how the votes goes once the show is over!
As always, I’m impressed with and grateful to the guys who put together and man the stall. They’re really flying the flag for the club.

I have figures but im a horrible painter. I should watch a video or 12. I never think I can do it though So i stare at them… they mock me

The biggest thing, honestly, is just sticking at it. Some of the entries in that case are from folk who have improved considerably over the past year.
