Planning for Month 4 of Woehammer’s Slow Grow Challenge and Catching Up

Deja Vu is a funny thing, innit? This month’s slow grow plans will be very similar to those of last month. The lack of progress is also pretty similar, unfortunately. Health has been a pretty difficult topic for the past couple of months, and when I’ve not been in pain, I’ve mostly been asleep. It’s why I focused on a few easy miniatures last month. Things are getting a bit better though, and I’m keen to see if I can start moving forward again on hobby goals.

In terms of the slow grow targets to date, I finished both of February’s goals (characters) and half of March’s (Halberdiers).

So, that means I still have 20 Chaos Dwarf Infernal Guard to finish for March. Add to this 10 Empire Handgunners and 10 Chaos Dwarf Blunderbusses for April.

40 miniatures…

Still, it’s doable. I can catch up. What about this month, though?

Well, I’m pretty much going to double down on last month with another 10 Handgunners and another 10 Blunderbusses. This will give me a pair of small units. Here’s a reminder of how those minis look:

That would bring me to 60 miniatures:

  • 1×20 Infernal Guard
  • 2×10 Blunderbusses
  • 2×10 Handgunners

One more thing worth mentioning on where we are is that I’ve actually already finished my models for June:

This makes me feel a lot better and makes me more hopeful that I might be able to catch up between now and the end of June. That certainly feels a lot more doable than the end of May. In terms of progress on the models, the 20 Infernal Guard are not that far from being complete. 10 of the Blunderbusses are primed and 10 of the Handgunners are printed. I will get the rest printed in the coming days.

Now that I’m back on my feet and spending more of the day awake, I’m keen to catch up with this, as I do like the idea of having a couple of armies ready to go for trying out The Old World. Enthused!

I also want to get this project back under control as I’ve got another army I’m keen to start working on. I’ll be sharing more on that this week.
