We go into the final month of Woehammer’s Slow Grow challenge in fantastic form! For the first time in months, we’re where we should be, and I feel pretty good about the whole thing. This month should see me complete a pair of 1,000 point armies for Warhammer: The Old World. Exciting!
Last month, we got completely caught up. First up, I finished my Empire Handgunners:

Then I completed a bunch of Infernal Guard with Blunderbusses for the Chaos Dwarfs:

This month, we had to do a special/rare unit. For the forces of the Empire, I have decided to do a unit of Flagellants, as I do see this army as something of a crusading force. I’ve printed them and primed them, and we’re good to go:

For the Chaos Dwarfs, I didn’t want to do more infantry at the moment, so I printed up a piece of artillery instead:

Now, that piece will bring the Chaos Dwarfs to 1,000 points. The problem is, the Empire infantry is cheaper than the Chaos Dwarf infantry, so there’s a gap in the points. A Battle Standard Bearer will bring the Empire up to 1,000 points, so I’ve printed one up. I’ve also got a wizard that I printed ages ago that also fits into this army, so let’s just do them both:

I will say, the sword on that BSB was very breakable before curing. It was tricky to remove the supports and I’m very glad that I managed to carefully extract it!
I’m excited to round off these projects. I’ll return to them at some point to bump them up to 2,000 points, but I think they’ll go on the shelf for now. I’d like to get some Age of Sigmar and (shock, horror) 40K done, along with some Stargrave and Malifaux.
I’ll check in as I finish the various bits of these targets, and then probably do a roundup post for each army, as well.
