Humble Bundle: Board Game Night

There are a number of really good digital editions of board games available these days. A couple of my favourites appear in this latest bundle from the good folks at Humble Bundle. In all, there are 9 games in the bundle, plus some expansions and coupons. Here’s the full set:

The whole bundle will set you back a mere £13.93. That’s fantastic value for the sheer amount of excellent content that you’re getting. I’ve got three of these games already and the bundle is still worth it to me.

Now, it’s no secret that Root is a favourite game of mine. It should come as no surprise that I’ve already got the digital edition and have played a lot of it. It alone is more than worth the asking price for the bundle. The digital edition is good, working smoothly and letting you get in plenty of games, both against the computer and online against other alleged humans.

Likewise, I already own Scythe and Terraforming Mars, both of which I really rate. The Terraforming Mars UI could be a little smoother, but it works well and it’s seen a fair amount of play from me.

The ones I’m keen to play after buying this bundle are Everdell, which was a previous Game of the Month, and Wingspan. Wingspan made a bad first impression on me at the table, but I think that was more down to some poor explanations with an unfamiliar group. It wasn’t the most comfortable experience, and I do think that perhaps tainted the game for me. Let’s give it another chance!

This bundle looks fantastic. I’ve already picked up my copy and I cannot commend it highly enough as a value proposition.
