Our local club ran a Spearhead day yesterday to get folk into the new edition and try out the new game mode. I really like Spearhead. I’d rather play it, going forward, than 1,000 point games. I’ve always found AoS a bit janky at 1,000 points.
As part of my prep for the day, I painted up a set of the terrain. A friend and I did a set each, with him doing a set themed for the red side of the board, whilst I did one for the green. I swithered over flocking the bottom of the smaller pieces, but the flock I have is a wee bit light. If I had a darker flock, I might. I can always change it later.
Here are the completed parts:

For an evening’s work, I’m happy with them. They’re a lot lighter than I’d normally do, but it does work. I think the silver on the metallic trim perhaps makes them a little washed-out looking, but they’re fine.
I think I’m going back to painting some Flesh-Eater Courts this week, but I also want to work on something different. We’ll see where I end up going.
