The second edition of Star Trek Adventures comes out later this year in physical form, having already been released as a PDF. As something of a last hurrah for first edition, Modiphius and Humble Bundle have teamed up to offer the entire first edition range at a heavily discounted price.
For slightly under £20, you’re getting a lot of content for Modiphius’ 2D20 implementation of Star Trek. Here’s the full contents of the bundle, upon which you should feast your eyes:
This isn’t a range about which I have a lot of knowledge. That said, I do really enjoy Star Trek.
The core rulebook is here, which is obviously the most important part of the whole thing. It has everything you actually need to get this to the table. I quite like the fact that there’s a sourcebook for each service division within Starfleet, with the Command, Science, and Operations division manuals.
There are also several sourcebooks based on specific shows. Fans of DS9 will want to pick up the Gamma Quadrant sourcebook to jump into conflict with the Dominion. Voyager fans will want the Delta Quadrant book to square off against the Kazon, Vidiians, and Hirogen. There are also supplements for the old Animated Series and the newer Discovery series. To be honest, I’m mostly excited for the Lower Decks supplement. I love that show!
There’s plenty more content beyond these highlights, and you can’t argue against that value! This feels like a fantastic deal for fans and players who want to dive into the worlds of Star Trek and really treat it as a big, exciting sandbox.
