Our club’s September painting challenge started as a Spearhead challenge, but we do like to be inclusive. We opened up our painting challenge to any starter sets, resulting in some 40K entries, and even a Dystopian Wars fleet. Some people just aren’t cool enough to paint Age of Sigmar.
Here are all eight of the fantastic entries:

I was delighted to see the number of entries we ended up with, and I do think that everyone hit it out of the park! We used a ranked voting system, where each voter picked a first, second, and third choice. There was not much between the top 4, so here’s how they shook out:
In fourth place was the Tau with 14 points.
Second and third place were tied, with the Flesh-Eater Courts and the Skaven both scoring 15 points. My Flesh-eaters just squeaked ahead into second place because of our tie breaker, which is based on the number of first choice votes.
The winner for this challenge was the fantastic Seraphon Spearhead:

I loved the basing on these, in particular.
This month, we’re all committing to painting the same mini; some sort of 40K alien thing, I am told.
