I always loved the aesthetic of Warmachine and Hordes, and I especially adored some of the cool themed forces that you could field. It’s a real pity that the game was not able to continue under Privateer Press. Given their history of miniature-heavy shovelware games, I’m not the biggest fan of Steam Forge, who now hold the license for the games, but I hope that they are able to prove my concerns unfounded.
In the third entry of this series, I took a look at some Hordes forces. Hordes is my preferred flavour of Iron Kingdoms. I think it’s more diverse as a range. I love the identities of each faction. My favourite from this selection is actually hard to pick. I love the ice trolls. I love the creepy Grymkin. The winner is probably the sticks and stones-themed Circle army, though. I love that construct-themed force, led by powerful druids.
