Our local club plays a whole range of different games, and I really appreciate that people are so willing to try lots of different games. Our upcoming MTG Commander event this weekend looks to have some pretty great uptake, despite nobody really playing Commander at club 6 months ago. That’s some pretty great progress!
I like events where we can all play the same game. We’ve done it before with Keyforge, Ticket to Ride, and the DC Comics Deckbuilding Game. We keep threatening to do it with Clank, too. On the 18th of February, we’re doing an evening session to learn to play Lorcana.
My wife and I play a lot of Lorcana. We sometimes use starter decks, and sometimes use our own decks (red/green Evasion for me, grey/purple Brooms for her). We’re going to run the session on the 18th of February.
So far, we’ve got a good uptake, which is a bit of a relief for us. The club is doing well on Thursday nights, with fantastic attendance over November, December, and January. Tuesdays has been more sparsely attended, with only a few of us regularly coming along. Hopefully, things like this will help us to make the Tuesday viable, going forward.
I’d also love to run some Dresden Files on Tuesdays!
