It’s Friday, and here on No Rerolls that means it’s time for an all-new 5 on Friday. We’re going to start with 5 exciting releases for this week before moving on to our usual digest of some of our favourite articles from the past week. Of course, we’re slow readers, so don’t be surprised if there are some articles that are a little older – these are just some of the great articles we happen to have actually read in the past week.
Releases & Previews
Every week there are many games, books, and miniatures released. This will probably be a mix of previews, preorders, and releases, and with release dates being the way they are in this industry, it’s always pretty approximate. Excuses out of the way, here are 5 of the releases that caught our attention this week:
Grail Games releases their board game, Night Soil – Grail Games’ Night Soil is a satirical strategy game set in Tudor London, where players run rival sanitation companies, navigating the city’s fragrant waste problem to turn a profit.

By night, labourers haul waste cubes through crowded streets; by day, workers advertise, recruit, and upgrade assets. With 2–5 players and a 60–90 minute playtime, Night Soil blends historical grit with tongue‑in‑cheek humour for a unique, Euro‑style experience.

Developed with Trans Atlantis Games, the set includes 21 acrylics, 6 acrylic inks, and 3 dirty metallics, perfect for painters looking to capture a darker aesthetic. Launched via Kickstarter, Dark Arts adds a distinctive edge to the Two Thin Coats line.

Designed by Nuno Bizarro Sentieiro and Paulo Soledade, the game blends area‑majority mechanics with factory building, R&D investment, and market influence. With 1–4 players and a 60–120 minute playtime, Zaibatsu expands on the original Nippon with updated components and streamlined rules, offering a fresh take on industrial empire‑building.

Blog Posts & Articles
The meat of 5 on Friday, the articles are listed in no particular order, so let’s get into some recommendations:
W][P – NARCOMANCER @ Rust + RU][N – There’s a post with this miniature all painted up and lovely, but I actually really like posts like this one, wherein you can see how the miniature comes together. It’s so cool to see what uses existing parts, what’s greensuff, and so on.
Announcing the Woehammer Awards @ Woehammer – Woehammer are launching their awards. Go along and nominate stuff. Then vote for stuff. Then read the list. Then nod at the stuff they get right. Then tut and shake your head at the idiots who voted differently from you. Go!
Warmachine Frozen and Forgotten Unboxing and Review – Plastic Two Player Starter Set @ Sprues & Brews – I really like this set. It’s cool. I picked up the Shadows & Scum set and has a lot of fun painting up the Trollblood side, but am a lot less impressed with the Khymaera. This new set is fantastic, and both sides look amazing. If I thought I’d get it to the table, I’d be very tempted.
Saga Swiss @ Wargaming Workshop – These look great! Lovely miniatures with beautiful, clean paint jobs. The flags look really good, too. I’ve still not played Saga, but then I suppose I’ve not done much in terms of historical gaming.
I Don’t Wanna Do Your Dirty Work @ Space-Biff – A fun review of what seems like a fun game; and one that was featured above in today’s post. The thing is, it all looks a bit… crap. Do… do you get it? Cos it’s about poop? I made a joke.
