Weather In My Ribs: Poetry is Taught Wrong

Here’s a poem I had some fun with recently. It doesn’t quite scan, but I called it a day and moved on. I’m not one to spend long on these things, and like to just get ideas down and then tackle something else. For context, I’m a teacher. A small part of my week is teaching English, where poetry is probably my favourite thing to cover in class.

Do I live up to everything I say in this poem?

No. It’s aspirational.

If you like it, feel free to browse more of the posts on Weather In My Ribs. I’m having a good time putting ideas and whatnot up on there.
