It’s Friday, and here on No Rerolls that means it’s time for an all-new 5 on Friday. We’re going to start with 5 exciting releases for this week before moving on to our usual digest of some of our favourite articles from the past week. Of course, we’re slow readers, so don’t be surprised if there are some articles that are a little older – these are just some of the great articles we happen to have actually read in the past week.
Releases & Previews
Every week there are many games, books, and miniatures released. This will probably be a mix of previews, preorders, and releases, and with release dates being the way they are in this industry, it’s always pretty approximate. Excuses out of the way, here are 5 of the releases that caught our attention this week:
Games Workshop releases Mortis Reapers for Age of Sigmar’s Ossiarch Bonereapers – Whilst I like the idea of how the Ossiarch Bonereaper play, and always have, I’ve never really been much of a fan of the miniatures range. They’ve got some decent character models, but their units just do not appeal to me. This latest unit might be a strong exception…

I love these models. These are stunning. We’re looking at some Bonereaper infantry with actual personality. Who’d have expected that? Not me! But yeah, I love them.

Mongoose releases Vehicle Handbook Update 2026 for Traveller – I find myself looking at Traveller releases less frequently than I previously did. There are still some really interesting books, but as a range, it feels like it just never stops. Is Mongoose producing too much Traveller? Maybe. In addition to releasing new books, they are also, as with today’s offering, updating older ones:

As usual for Traveller, this book promises a huge range of vehicles, from dirt bikes to space ships. It seems to be a pretty complete rewrite of what came before, rather than just a little update. The most interesting aspects would be the rules for designing vehicles such as mechs and small ships.

Wizards of the Coast set to release a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set for Magic: The Gathering – The upcoming TMNT Universes Beyond set brings the Turtles, their allies, and their rogues’ gallery into Magic with a mix of nostalgia, attitude, and sharp mechanical identity. It looks like it will be a proper celebration of the franchise.

Early previews show a set built around fast, synergistic play and character‑driven designs that actually feel like the Turtles and their world, giving the release a strong flavour hook and plenty of personality at the table

Brotherwise Games to release Super Boss Monster 2 – This sequel doubles down on the series’ retro‑dungeon swagger, giving you a fresh roster of villains, rooms, and twists that push the “build a deadly side‑scrolling lair” formula into sharper, more chaotic territory. It looks to be familiar in the right ways but tuned for bigger swings, nastier combos, and a balance of nostalgia and spite.

New bosses, expanded synergies, and a tighter flow of card interactions make this an upgrade for returning players and an entry point for newcomers.

Warlord Games to release Konflikt ’47 Totenrotte Starter Army set – Last week, I looked at the zombie miniatures for Konflikt ’47. This week, I realised there’s actually a big army box for the Totenrotte:

This is a fantastic, beautiful set of miniatures. I’m not sure how the game works or how armies are built, but this is visually a really cool starting force.

Blog Posts & Articles
The meat of 5 on Friday, the articles are listed in no particular order, so let’s get into some recommendations:
Eye of Terra – H.H Anthology @ Wordaholic Anonymous – I’ve read a fair amount of Horus Heresy novels, but haven’t ever tried any of the short story collections. It does sound like this collection has some highlights, but is very much a mixed bag.
Top Three AoS Lists for Colton’s Speed Dating Service @ Woehammer – A win for Ogors! Woo and/or yay! Three fun lists for three awesome armies. Not a single Order army to be seen, either! Fantastic!
The latest news out of Atomic Mass Games @ Spalanz – I had my own thoughts on this story, but it’s interesting to read about it from someone who is actively collecting multiple games from Atomic Mass. Some interesting insights.
Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle o’ Borg! @ Refereeing and Reflection – A gleefully grim tour through Pirate Borg’s haunted Caribbean, this review digs into why Luke Stratton’s doom‑soaked pirate hack has become one of the most robustly supported Mörk Borg offshoots. From naval mayhem to undead economies and the uneasy shadows of colonial history, it’s a look at how a reskin becomes a world worth plundering.
Can AORs Take Faction Terrain? @ Plastic Craic – This is not a question I thought I needed answered. Turns out I actually enjoyed the journey.
