Yeah, I know. This is the second week in a row that our Kickstarter-Watch is a non-gaming-related campaign. It just grabbed my attention, though. This cool campaign features 6 gorgeous, little 3D-printable monsters. Each one has an adorable piece of concept art going along with it, like this chap:

How cute is that?
I love this style. The cutesy, slightly chibi-esque look, along with the the different textures like the horns and fur, all really speak to me. It looks great.
Of course, the artwork speaks to intent, but the models themselves will be somewhat different. As it is, the renders for the 3D models look really good. Here are a few of the renders:

Fantastic, aren’t they? There are 5 monsters in the campaign.
You may have noticed that the campaign is called MONSTER BOX. What of the box, then? Well, that’s actually a cool touch. The box is a little frame that can be printed to turn the model into a more formal gift. It’s a cool touch, and you can see it here:

There’s not a huge amount to say about this bundle, really. It’s pretty simple. 5 models. $5 price tag. $7 if you want a commercial license. There are also a further 5 models that can be purchased as addons.
There are a few other nice touches, like the fact that the models will come in both supported and unsupported versions. The supported versions will aim for an optimal print, whilst the unsupported files will allow for easier resizing to print the model out at whatever scale you want.
I mean, for $5, this is worth a punt, innit?
