Having decided last year to start popping some of my wee homebrew ideas onto DriveThruRPG, I started off with Creative Intertia, a Fiasco playset based on British politic sitcoms like Yes, Minister, and others. I’ve had a lot of downloads of the playset, and that makes me really happy.

I had expected my next release to be another Fiasco playset. Partly this was because I have ideas for playsets and am working on two at the moment. Another reason for wanting to do a Fiasco playset was the ease of formatting. They’re pretty simple to make and can be put together easily in Word. Having done one, I also now have a suitable template to use for future playsets.
I used the money raised from Creative Inertia to purchase Affinity Publisher. I could have afforded it, but I am keen for NoRerolls releases to be self-sustaining. More on that in a minute…
In the interest of learning how to use Affinity Publisher, I decided to try something different, and I started work on two character classes for CY_BORG. The first of these classes is the Bio Hacker.

I’ve learned the (absolute) basics of Affinity putting this first booklet together. It’s only one page of actual content, and it doesn’t really have any traditional layout. It’s very visual, and it’s quite bitty.
I’ve loved doing the graphical design of it, too. Beyond the cover image, there wasn’t much to do with the Fiasco playset, graphically, but I’ve been having a lot of fun here:

I enjoyed putting these together. I think that CY_BORG is a really fantastic game that puts theme and tone front and centre. I’ll be doing a second CY_BORG class next, and then I will likely go back and finish off a Fiasco playset.
I’ll let you know when Bio Hacker is fully finished and available on DriveThruRPG.
