Right, this is more like it! It’s no secret that certain recent Humble Bundles have left me underwhelmed and, frankly, annoyed. A good bundle is usable no matter what tier you buy into. That is definitely the case here! There are three tiers, costing £4.08, £12.25, and £20.42 respectively. The thing is, although you get a good deal at all levels, I’m really just going to cut to the chase and recommend the top tier, which gets you 52 items.
Behold:

Normally, I try to go through all or most of the bundle. I’m not going to do that here. There’s just so much in here. Instead, I’m going to pick out some highlights.
Firstly, Kobold Press is a big presence in this bundle, with a number of their books represented. They include a few of their settings. The Courts of the Shadow Fey, Southlands, Book of Ebon Tides, and Empire of the Ghouls books will give you a great grounding for your adventures. Mix in some of the other books like the Vault of Magic and to add cool, new magic to your game. Kobold Press produces consistently excellent books, fleshing out their World of Midgard and just giving damn good content.
I like a good bestiary for my games and there are a couple of volumes of Nord’s Ultimate Bestiary in here, giving you more creatures, monsters, and NPCs to pad out your campaign.
There’s a fair bit of material here for Castles & Crusades as well, including a core book. That means that while most of the content in this bundle is for 5E D&D, you’re also getting the full Castles & Crusades game from Troll Lord Games, ready to play, and with a number of supplements.
One other little set of books that jumped out at me was the player and referee books for Old School Essentials. I don’t know much about this system, but some friends have really recommended it and it’s on the list for me to have a wee read-through at some point.
So, aye, the bundle is great value. It feels great to be positive about a Humble Bundle again!
