The other day, I shared some pictures of our gaming club’s stall at the local model show. The guys who ran the stall did a great job. It was nice to pop in and see people at the booth, looking at models and asking questions. The hope is always that we get a couple of new members from the show. We’re following up next weekend with an open day of our own.
A big part of our presence at the show every year is our painting contest. It’s our only really outward-facing contest, as passersby at the show are invited to vote on their top three miniatures. I was delighted that we managed to put in 13 minis this year. Here’s the lineup, as it was presented to the booth visitors:
Well, the votes are in, and we have our winners. I even managed to take third place. I knew I couldn’t repeat last year’s performance! Well done to everyone who entered; it’s great that we managed to get so many great minis on display.
