Bundle of Holding: Worldographer

This is an interesting bundle consisting of the Worldographer mapping software from Inkwell Ideas and a bunch of additional content to go along with it. Worldographer is a program for creating maps. There are a lot of these applications these days. This one seems pretty detailed, but the visual style is definitely a tad dated. The maps look very 80s, or very low-budget wargame. I think ASL fans will really like it.

The first tier includes three licenses. The first is for the Pro version of Worldographer, with the remaining two unlocking the Settlement and Battlemap expansions. This is great, as it really gives you full access to all of the features. You also get access to the legacy applications (Hexographer, Cityographer, and Dungeonographer) which Worldographer replaced.

As usual, there’s a second tier available in this bundle. For $40.05 you get the software from the first tier plus 11 graphics sets to go with the application. I think these will be really important to give more options to build and customise your maps. For a tenner’s difference, I’d say the upgrade is worth it.

This bundle isn’t really for me. I like a flashier, more modern map, even if that comes are the expense of the accuracy or usability you’re getting here. That said, I’d suggest checking out the Worldographer website before making your decision.
