I’ve done a few ‘Themes We’d Like to See’ posts. Taken in abstraction, board games are mechanical experiences. We move chits and tokens around, do some basic maths, and amass points. It’s all very dry without at least a wee bit of theming put on top. many games have self-contained theming, whilst others apply existing, licensed properties to try and entice in the audience who already love those settings.
One setting that many people have an affection for is the Dragon Ball series. This is a long-running and well-established property, consisting of a number of manga and anime series. There have been a fair few games based on them, too. I thought about some I’d like to see in the future.

It’s Battlecon that I’d still love to see ported over to the Dragon Ball property.
