Completed: Hybrid Acolytes

The work on the Genestealer Cults continues, albeit not really apace. Today I’m sharing some Hybrid Acolytes that I finished up. This is the third Combat Patrol unit finished for the army, and the fifth finished overall.

Let’s take a look at them, and then let’s talk about loadout:

In hindsight, I did two things wrong when building this unit. First, I went with the drill instead of the bombs. That’s fine; I’ve got plenty morr to build.

My second mistake was in not doubling down on drills. You can take two per 5 models, so why wouldn’t you? My next batch of 5 Acolytes, therefore, will not actually be a legal unit. Instead, it will be a supplement to this unit, containing one hand flamer dude, an icon Bearer and then three of the drills. It’s about bringing these guys up to 10.

That won’t be the next thing I do, though. That will likely be the Hybrid Neophytes, as I press on to try and complete the Combat Patrol box before really diving into the wider army. I’m also dipping into the cool, wee characters as I go.
