Throwback Thursday: Tabletop Scotland 2019

With Tabletop Scotland 2023 happening this weekend, it seemed appropriate to cast my mind back to a previous show. I attended in 2019 and had an absolute blast. My main focus was on RPGs and I spent pretty much the entirety of the weekend on them.

I got to play familiar games like Vampire: the Masquerade, FATE, and paranoia, and I tried games that were new to me at the time like Traveller and They Came From Beneath the Sea.

The event was very well run, which was impressive as they were still a relatively new show at the time. It’s great to see them going from strength to strength and expanding to three days this year.

I’m not able to attend the 2023 show, but I’d definitely like to return to the show in future years. I think it’s fantastic that Scotland has a show like this. There have been two recent events getting ‘organised’ in the highlands that have been so badly prepared and presented (one has now been cancelled) that it really hammers home just how polished Tabletop Scotland is.
