Happy Halloween!
It seems pretty on-theme that today I am sharing a Jack Daw crew for Malifaux! This is the second screw I’ve finished recently, following on from my Leveticus crew. I’m actually pretty delighted that I managed to get these finished in time to post for Halloween.
The Jack Daw box is, thematically, pretty grim. Jack Daw himself is fine, but it’s the three Guilty that are particularly dark. Here’s the core box:
I finished Lady Ligaea and Montressor really quickly, but The Guilty took a fair bit longer, as there’s a lot going on there. The box was fun, and it was my first time using AK Interactive’s water effects for some swampy water.
I then did a couple of Hanged to finish out the crew:
These are two models which feel like they’re at slightly different scales. This annoys me, but they’re so good with this crew that I couldn’t really mount a proper protest boycott. They were a bit of a pain to paint because of some very fine detail on some of the ropes.

In the future, I’d like to expand this crew a little bit, but that’s unlikely to be an immediate thing.
