Humble Bundle: Fallout Wasteland Warfare

As I type this, I’m working my way through the Fallout series on Amazon Prime. I’m enjoying it a lot, even if I haven’t really gotten into a Fallout game since Fallout 2. This isn’t some value judgement on the subsequent series; I just never gave them a huge amount of time so I never really got into them.

Modiphius has been bringing the Fallout setting to the tabletop with both a miniatures-based skirmish game and a roleplaying game. Today, I am sharing a Humble Bundle featuring the miniatures game, Wasteland Warfare.

The bundle will set you back £14.84 and gets you 25 items:

I can’t claim to know a huge amount about the game, but there’s a lot of content here. In addition to the core rules, you have campaign books, tokens, extra rules, and more. There’s also a bunch of 3D-printable files.

These include a whole bunch of terrain. I like the vault parts best, but there’s also some wasteland stuff, including a really cool ruined house. I suppose it’s just a pity that we don’t have actual miniatures in the set. It would be nice if this was a complete game, ready to print and play.

Still, even though there are no miniatures included, everything else is here and the whole thing feels like pretty good value. I don’t think it’s one I’ll be jumping to grab for myself, but it’s cool nonetheless.

  1. What is still keeping me hooked with the franchise is going back and trying to piece the lore of the different vaults out in the Wasteland. I think both the first two Fallout games set a pretty high standard with their lore where the later entries needed to continue with it. I’ve been playing Fallout 4 and New Vegas agian and every playthrough there is new things I still discover which is cool.

This seems like a decent humble bundle for the roleplayers out there. Thank you for sharing!

      1. I have no idea, I am told it plays ok, for me though.. its the painting i find it relaxing. I think I have played maybe 3 or 4 games of Warhammer and yet there is sit painting tiny orcs. D&D tiny kobold and now fallout. Started because I like the game (vidoe) and some of the pieces are nice for D&D. I’m a sucker. We do have a place maybe 30 minutes from me they have a weekly game (so I am told) but then who will do all this painting. Plus everytime I go in a place like that… I spend money I dont have

  2. Interesting that they included STLs. I still don’t have a 3d printer, but makes me wonder if more games will go this way in the future? It’s kind of a no-brainer, they could sell the STLs and save the cost (plus space) of making minis. I guess the tipping scale will be when more games have 3d printers than those who don’t.

    1. Yeah, but no actual miniatures in here. It’s all terrain.

You do have games from places One Page Rules that have gained some traction from being fully printable. I know other places are looking to do the same, like Titan Forge and Archvillain.
