Food. I’m looking at food-based Magic decks at the moment. My goal, ultimately, is to put together a deck around Ygra, Eater of All, which is a beautiful tiger card from the Bloomburrow set. The version I have is particularly nice:

Pity it’s not a foil, though…
So, with a focus on food (glorious food), I can start looking for cards and combos that would work well with the big kitty. There are obvious things, like some of the cards from the Hobbit-themed LotR deck, and the excellent Nuka-Cola Vending Machine from the Fallout set. Today, I’m going to look at another fun, little combo that gets all of your land onto the table as quickly as possible. I’m not even sure that it’s really the best thing for Ygra, but it’s food-themed.
As usual, there’s always the caveat that you’re fishing for these cards in a deck of 100. You might have cards that would help with this fishing; you may not. It’s nice when things come together, though.
For this, you will need the Tireless Provisioner, the Sakura-Tribe Elder, and Hazel’s Brewmaster:

To get all of our lands out, we need to start by getting the Sakura-Tribe Elder into our graveyard. Now, that might be through some other card you’ve got, or just throwing it at an opponent for him to swat away with a blocker. It would be really nice if he’d help you out like that, wouldn’t it?
Once it’s in the graveyard, you need to exile it using Hazel’s Brewmaster. This means that every food token now has the abilities of the Sakura-Tribe Elder card. Each and every food token will be able to be sacrificed in exchange for a basic land card from your deck.
Now, with the Tireless provisioner on the board, you will generate a new food token each time a land (basic or otherwise) enters the battlefield. Repeat over and over again, ad nauseum.
Enjoy your newfound mana-wealth.
I still don’t really know where I’m going with the Ygra deck, but I know I want Hazel’s Brewmaster in there. it probably makes sense to include these other two cards, as well.

I’ve been really enjoying the Green Black Food deck in Arena’s Starter Deck battles mode. Definitely some great cards for it in Wilds of Eldraine too. Experimental Confectioner is really nice, and Wildwood Mentor doesn’t take long to get quite scary!
