Are you ready to dive into the world(s) of superheroes and villains? I am! The current Humble Bundle for the third edition of Green Ronin’s superhero-themed RPG, Mutants & Masterminds, is an absolute steal, offering over £280 worth of rulebooks and expansions for just a few pence under £14!
This bundle is perfect for any comic book and tabletop fan looking to bring their favorite superhero stories to life. Here’s a peek at the 19 items that make up this particular super-powered offering:

Now, as usual, there are a few items that jumped out at me:
- Mutants & Masterminds Deluxe Hero’s Handbook: The core rulebook that gives you everything you need to create and play powerful superheroes. It’s a comprehensive guide with detailed rules, character creation options, and gameplay mechanics. This is obviously the absolute core of the whole offering; it’s kind of essential.
- Rogues Gallery: A diverse collection of villains ready to challenge your heroes. Each entry comes with a detailed backstory, stats, and adventure hooks to integrate them into your campaign effortlessly. It’s as close as I’ll get to a bestiary!
- Freedom City: This rich, vibrant setting is filled with potential adventures and intriguing characters. It’s a great backdrop for superhero campaigns with a lot of lore and pre-built scenarios.
- Power Profiles: This supplement is invaluable for customising your characters with unique abilities and powers. It’s packed with new options and combinations to make your hero or villain truly stand out.
- Astonishing Adventures: These ready-to-play adventures are perfect for game masters looking to jump straight into the action. They offer a mix of story-driven and combat-focused scenarios.
I’ve never played Mutants and Masterminds, but it’s a popular system that’s been around for a long time now. It has a solid following. This bundle represents some really fantastic value, especially when you remember that this is a Green Ronin game. Those guys know how to put out a good book! Production values are generally very good. There’s also the usual cherry on top that Humble Bundle puts a portion of the proceeds to charity; in this case to World Central Kitchen, an organisation that provides food relief to crises and disaster zones.
Check out the bundle. If you’re even thinking about trying superhero roleplaying, this price just won’t be beaten. Prolly worth a punt, no?
