StoryBundle is a website that presents of bundle of sci-fi and fantasy novels, novellas, and stories from both new and established writers. This time, we’re looking at a bundle of dystopian novels. This is a genre I enjoy, and actually one that I delivered something of a primer on, earlier this academic year, to a class with whom I was about to read Bradbury. As usual, there are two tiers to the bundle. The first will set you back $5 and get you four titles:
- Numbers Game by Rebecca Rode
- Dragon Hide by Jillian Cooper
- The Great Iron War – Book One: Hopebreaker by Dean F. Wilson
- Deceived by Ann Gimpel
It’s interesting that a lot of the books in this bundle are young adult books. The dystopian genre has been largely taken over by YA since the success of the Hunger Games and Divergent novels.

The second tier unlocks the rest of the bundle (labelled as bonus in the image above) and can be yours for $20. For this price, you get everything in the previous tier plus the following items:
- They Left Magic in Their Wake by Marilyn Peake
- The Blood Lottery by K.N. Lee
- Mistress of Cinders by Kendrai Meeks
- Stakes and Bones by Julia Vee and Ken Bebelle
- Nighthawks by Jeremy Flagg
- The Great Iron War – Book Two: Lifemaker by Dean F. Wilson
- Pendomus by Carissa Andrews
- Neon Sands by Adam J. Smith
- Rebirth by Aaron Hodges
Adam J. Smith’s Neon Sands jumps out at me from this selection as a novel with a premise that really appeals to me. The stark, unforgiving setting, and the culture of the scavengers just really ticks a lot of boxes for me. It’s very much my sort of thing.
This does seem to be mostly a YA bundle in all but name, but there’s a lot of really good YA fiction out there, so that’s not meant to be pejorative in any way. Just, you know, you should know what you’re buying. The value, as ever, seems pretty good, too.
