WiP Wednesday 12/03/25: knights, Dragons, and Bygones

With painting back on the table, let’s check in and see what’s on the slate. First up, we’ve got a batch of 12 Crypt Horrors, represented by these resplendent questing knights from Highlands Miniatures:

I love how these are turning out, and I’m glad to have gone with a mixed colour scheme with share elements, rather than a strict scheme. You know, classic Bretonnian style! They’ve been sitting unfinished for so long. I have a draft of the completion post for them that I seemingly last edited at the start of October 2024. The hubris!

Sticking with the Flesh-Eaters, I’ve also mounted up a pair of Dungeons & Lasers dragons onto bigger, 130mm bases for use as Zombie Dragons and/or Terrorgheists:

I’m looking forward to painting these guys! Although they’re now on bigger bases, they were previously on 50mm bases and I was really impressed by how well-designed these models were in terms of balance. They just did not want to fall over, respite those wings, tails, and that fireball. I found that really impressive.

Finally, I’ve returned to the Malifaux models that I built last year. I was planning to work on the Bygone keyword, led by Tiri:

These are models spread across three boxes, but which make up the core of the Bygone keyword. I’m keen to get them painted up and maybe even get them to the table this year. Fingers crossed, eh?
