5 on Friday 21/11/25

It’s Friday, and here on No Rerolls that means it’s time for an all-new 5 on Friday. We’re going to start with 5 exciting releases for this week before moving on to our usual digest of some of our favourite articles from the past week. Of course, we’re slow readers, so don’t be surprised if there are some articles that are a little older – these are just some of the great articles we happen to have actually read in the past week.

Releases & Previews

Every week there are many games, books, and miniatures released. This will probably be a mix of previews, preorders, and releases, and with release dates being the way they are in this industry, it’s always pretty approximate. Excuses out of the way, here are 5 of the releases that caught our attention this week:

Fantasy Flight Games to release a Mandalorian Faction Pack for the Star Wars Deckbuilding Game – Fantasy Flight’s latest faction pack brings the Mandalorians to the Star Wars Deckbuilding Game, adding a new base, starter deck, and galaxy deck cards themed around bounty hunting, loyalty, and Beskar resilience. It’s a flavourful addition whether you’re playing the original or the Clone Wars edition.

The pack includes everything needed to run a Mandalorian faction, plus rules for a new three-player free-for-all mode using neutral cards. It’s not a standalone product (you’ll need a core box to play), but it’s a sleek expansion with strong thematic hooks and plenty of tactical variety. If you’ve been waiting to field the likes of Din or Bo-Katan, this is the way.

Chaosium releases the Creatures supplement for Basic Roleplaying – Chaosium’s Basic Roleplaying: Creatures is a system-agnostic supplement for d100 games, offering a massive bestiary and flexible tools for GMs. Whether you’re running RuneQuest, Call of Cthulhu, or something homebrew, this book gives you the monsters and the means to make them your own.

Inside, you’ll find over 200 entries spanning natural animals, dinosaurs, fantasy beasts, sci-fi horrors, summoned entities, and historical oddities. But it’s more than a monster manual; it’s a GM’s sandbox, with rules for customising stat blocks, harvesting creature parts, creating kaiju, and building memorable villains. If you’ve ever wanted to drop a robot into your Viking saga or summon a prehistoric terror into your noir mystery, this is your bridge.

Atomic Mass Games to release Prowler, Spider-Man 2099 & Ultimate Spider-Man set for Marvel Crisis Protocol – Atomic Mass Games dives deeper into the Spider-Verse with this three-character pack featuring Prowler, Spider-Man 2099, and Ultimate Spider-Man. It’s a dynamic mix of Web Warriors and Spider-Foes, with sculpts that leap right off the comic page.

The set includes three highly detailed miniatures. Namely, these are Prowler (Aaron Davis), Spider-Man 2099 (Miguel O’Hara), and a grown-up Miles Morales as Ultimate Spider-Man. Each comes with their own stat card and tactics, offering a mix of stealth, tech, and agile brawling.

Onyx Path releases Dragon Companion, a supplement for Scion – If Scion: Dragon lit the spark, Dragon Companion fans the flame. This PDF supplement expands the draconic side of Scion 2e with new Flights, spells, and tools for high-Inheritance play. It’s perfect for storytellers and players ready to push their campaigns into mythic territory.

Inside, you’ll find new Flights, guidance for crafting your own, and a wealth of options for customising Dragon characters. There’s support for Inheritance 4+ play, new spells and transformations, and a deeper dive into the metaphysics of draconic power. It’s a thoughtful, flexible expansion that rewards long-form campaigns and players who like their myth with a twist of mystery.

First Strike, the first set for the World of Tanks TCG, has now been released – First Strike launches the World of Tanks TCG with over 220 cards of tactical mayhem. This booster box is your ticket to rare tanks, brutal combos, and battlefield dominance.

The booster box includes 24 packs of cards, each full of tank units, crew upgrades, and faction synergies. Whether you’re building fast flanking decks or heavy armour walls, this Wave 1 release fuels your arsenal for strategic warfare. There seems to be a resurgence of new TCGs at the moment. Will this be one to stick around? I’m not sure if Archon has the infrastructure for longevity. We’ll see…

Blog Posts & Articles

The meat of 5 on Friday, the articles are listed in no particular order, so let’s get into some recommendations:

Essen 2025 Golden Demon finalists @ Scent of a Gamer Some gorgeous minis here! I especially love the Nurgle toad rider. Fantastic, that.

Reus 2: A Cozy Village Builder You Can’t Miss @ Curape’s Dungeon and Stuff I never really got into Reus, but that was also a time when I was really off of video games. Been a bit more into them recently and might actually give Reus 2 a go.

How Gitmob Wins Games: Sneak, Stab & Scarper @ Plastic Craic I’ve been wondering how to build some Gitmob. This seems a decent route. God, it would be so expensive, though…

Storyfold Wildwoods. An Intimate Little Experience. @ coopgestalt Solo gaming is not my thing, but I’m seeing more and more interesting single-player games. This is a fantastic little package that looks like it would be a lot of fun. Maybe my horizons need broadening in this regard?

The Legacy of Final Fantasy IX, 25 Years Later @ 8bitdigi FFIX is my favourite entry in that illustrious series. This is a lovely retrospective about that absolute banger of a classic.
