It’s Friday, and here on No Rerolls that means it’s time for an all-new 5 on Friday. We’re going to start with 5 exciting releases for this week before moving on to our usual digest of some of our favourite articles from the past week. Of course, we’re slow readers, so don’t be surprised if there are some articles that are a little older – these are just some of the great articles we happen to have actually read in the past week.
Releases & Previews
Every week there are many games, books, and miniatures released. This will probably be a mix of previews, preorders, and releases, and with release dates being the way they are in this industry, it’s always pretty approximate. Excuses out of the way, here are 5 of the releases that caught our attention this week:
Games Workshop releases a new Maggotkin of Nurgle Battletome for Age of Sigmar – The new Battletome: Maggotkin of Nurgle kicks off 2026 with a fresh wave of rot, lore, and rules for Age of Sigmar, expanding the army’s plague‑ridden identity with updated traits, enhancements, warscrolls, and a suite of new miniatures.

This edition pushes Nurgle toward more active board play, with longer‑reach disease mechanics, meaner Rotbringers, crawling Gnarlmaws, and a bunch of new warscrolls to reinforce the army’s theme of decay, rebirth, and relentless resilience. See the blog posts section below for a review from Sprue & Brews.

Mongoose releases Cluster Truck campaign book for Traveller – Cluster Truck is a full campaign for Traveller that puts players in the boots of hard‑working space truckers, hauling cargo across the Estuary Cluster while dodging blockades, corporate pressure, and overzealous law enforcement.

Across 160 pages of missions, mishaps, and blue‑collar sci‑fi drama, your crew will steal potatoes, get drenched in frozen beer, uncover corporate skulduggery, and try to keep a way of life alive as shipping lanes fall under corporate control.

Repos Production to release Carnuta – Carnuta is a fast, tactical fantasy game from Repos Production where druids gather for an annual ritual, competing to craft the most impressive potion by combining runes and rare ingredients.

With quick 25‑minute rounds for 2–4 players, Carnuta blends set collection, pattern building, and resource management as you assemble runes, trigger clever combos, and out‑brew your rivals in a compact, family‑friendly package.

Black Library releases Verminslayer in paperback – Verminslayer (previously released in hardback) is the latest Gotrek Gurnisson novel from David Guymer, plunging the legendary Slayer into the industrial sprawl of Greywater Fastness as he hunts for answers about his mysteriously fading Fyreslayer rune.

Beneath the city’s smoke‑choked foundries, Skaven warlocks are constructing a secret device that threatens both Gotrek and the Mortal Realms, setting the stage for sewer‑crawling battles, grim humour, and a return to one of his oldest foes.

Preorders are up for Magic the Gathering’s Lorwyn Eclipsed set – Lorwyn Eclipsed is Magic: The Gathering’s long‑awaited return to the beloved Lorwyn–Shadowmoor plane, releasing in January 2026. The set revisits the whimsical yet eerie world of changelings, fae, and elves, now transformed under a new eclipse‑driven storyline.

Packed with hybrid mechanics, typal synergies, and returning keywords like Changeling, Evoke, Persist, and Transform, Lorwyn Eclipsed blends nostalgia with fresh design. Iconic characters such as Ashling and Sygg reappear in new forms, while showcase treatments and Commander decks expand the set’s reach across formats. For players who loved the original’s mix of light and dark, this expansion promises both a celebration of Lorwyn’s past and a bold new chapter for its future.

Blog Posts & Articles
The meat of 5 on Friday, the articles are listed in no particular order, so let’s get into some recommendations:
Painted Jade Warriors @ The Bovine Overlord – These models are fantastic. Some of the support The Old World has gotten has been really cool. This colour scheme works well, and the minis look great!
Battletome Maggotkin of Nurgle Review – Warhammer Age of Sigmar @ Sprues & Brews – This review is very positive, and it does make me really interested in diving into the book. I’m playing other armies at the moment, so I’m not picking this stuff up right away. The positivity of this review does assuage some of my worries about the identity of the army changing quite fundamentally. I’ve played against a lot of 5+ wards lately, and it worries me that this army, which was all about survivability, is losing that when so many others still have it. I also worry that the Blighkings are losing a lot of their usability. We’ll see, I suppose.
Weekly Commander: The Regalia @ J.M. Casual Blog – I’ve been looking at doing a colourless deck. I think it would be more expensive than it would be worth to me, though. Either way, I’m looking at colourless commanders, and it’s great to be able to read through posts like this that really go into detail on some of the options.
Fallout Wasteland Warfare : Vault Dweller @ Kuribo’s Painting – Vault dwellers! These are cool. I’d like to jump into some of the Fallout stuff, and I have the Factions starter set sitting on the shelf. Seeing fantastic minis like these really whets the appetite!
Blog in Review – 2025 @ Dude! Take Your Turn! – I like posts like these. I covered some of this ground in my December roundup, but not really. I’m never sure how my own stuff is really doing, and it’s interesting to watch folk reason through their own stuff. Definitely worth a read.

I really need to return the favour one of these days, as I always enjoy reading your posts.
It’s too bad I don’t play RPGs, or there would be a lot of them!
