It’s Friday, and here on No Rerolls that means it’s time for an all-new 5 on Friday. We’re going to start with 5 exciting releases for this week before moving on to our usual digest of some of our favourite articles from the past week. Of course, we’re slow readers, so don’t be surprised if there are some articles that are a little older – these are just some of the great articles we happen to have actually read in the past week.
Releases & Previews
Every week there are many games, books, and miniatures released. This will probably be a mix of previews, preorders, and releases, and with release dates being the way they are in this industry, it’s always pretty approximate. Excuses out of the way, here are 5 of the releases that caught our attention this week:
Games Workshop releases Spitewood, a new expansion for Warhammer Underworlds – Spitewood is the latest Warhammer Underworlds expansion, bringing a new board, new Rivals decks, and a sinister forest theme to the game’s competitive skirmish format.

Alongside everything else, you’ve got a new pair of warbands. The Kurnothi are a welcome and thematic addition to any expansion set in a forest. The Helsmiths are a great tie-in with the latest army released for the main Age of Sigmar game.

Handiwork Games releases a second edition of their RPG, Cold City– Cold City returns in a sleek second edition, sharpening its post-war paranoia and monster-hunting intrigue. Set in 1950 Berlin, it’s a game of trust, betrayal, and secrets, where your allies may be more dangerous than the horrors you hunt.

This edition refines the original’s tension-driven mechanics with updated trust rules, streamlined character creation, and a tighter focus on Cold War horror. It’s still about hunting Nazi super-science gone wrong, but now with cleaner tools for moral ambiguity, fractured alliances, and slow-burn dread.

The Army Painter releases an Introductory Set for their new range of SpeedPaint Markers – I really like the look of these new markers from The Army Painter:

Looking at the pictures on The Army Painter’s website, the concept looks cool. I’m keen to see some video reviews of these pens, especially if they do metallic versions. Yeah, I’m watching these closely.

Renegade Game Studios releases digital edition of their Welcome to Night Vale RPG – The surreal desert town of Night Vale opens its gates to players—Renegade’s Welcome to Night Vale RPG is now available digitally, bringing eldritch bureaucracy, community radio, and existential dread to your tabletop.

Welcome to Night Vale is narrative-first, weird-friendly, and tuned for collaborative storytelling. You’ll create your own Night Vale citizen, navigate the town’s mysteries, and maybe even survive a PTA meeting. The digital release includes full rules, character sheets, and starter scenarios. It’s perfect for fans of the podcast or anyone craving structured absurdity.

Just Insert Imagination releases their new RPG, Specters – Specters is a rules-light RPG of ghostly vengeance and unfinished business. You play the dead, haunting the living, uncovering secrets, and trying to resolve what binds you to the mortal world.

Built on the Year Zero Engine, Specters is fast, narrative-driven, and perfect for one-shots or short campaigns. It’s got a cinematic edge, with mechanics that reward emotional closure, eerie atmosphere, and creative haunting.

Blog Posts & Articles
The meat of 5 on Friday, the articles are listed in no particular order, so let’s get into some recommendations:
Top Three AOS Lists for the Lamoine Last Stand IX @ Woehammer – Looking at these lists, I didn’t realise Skarbrand was so popular as a Regiment of Renown. Some fun lists here. Very elite Slaves list, though.
Orktober 2025: Big Boss @ Imperial Rebel Ork – I always really like Orks in military caps or long coats, or other such things. I think it jives well with the original punk aesthetic. This chap looks fantastic!
REVIEW: Brindlewood Bay @ Taskerland – Brindlewood Bay is one of those RPG that’s always been on the list, just never quite near the top of it. This is an interesting, thoughtful, and balanced review that makes me a little unsure if this game is entirely for me. In that doubt, however, is interest, and I’d really like to try the game.
2026 Universus TCG Roadmap: Exciting New Releases Ahead @ Churape’s Dungeon and Stuff – I’ve never played Universus, but they keep putting out interesting sets. The most appealing set in this article isn’t actually any set on the 2026 roadmap, but rather the late-November 2025 release of a Guilty Gear set. I love Guilty Gear!
Ogor Pirate! @ A Tabletop Gamer’s Diary – One of the coolest Underworlds warbands! I do love me some pirate ogors. I painted my own one up a while ago, and this one looks fantastic.
