Completed: A Trio of Nurgle Characters

The Slaves to Darkness army is one that’s been rumbling on quietly for some time, all without a whole lot of progress being made. It’s nice, therefore, when I do get to show some actual progress. Today, I get to share three finished miniatures!

The first is my Sorceror Lord. I used the old Rotbringer Sorceror model for this, so it also has the advantage of being usable in my Maggotkin of Nurgle army. That’s handy!

Next up, I painted up this rather rough and ready old Avatars of War model as a Chaos Lord of Nurgle. He’s not the best mini that AoW produced, but he’s alright, and he certainly fits the theme:

The dead Pumba on his back is a nice touch!

Finally, we’ve got a converted Chaos Lord on Karkadrak. This model was fun to put together, using the bulk of the Chaos Lord on Karkadrak miniature, as well as bits from the Plague Drones box and the Avatars of War range for the head and upper body:

I think this army may end up looking a little samey, with the turquoise armour on all of the troops, but it’s bright, and it’s fun to paint. I’m also pleased to be making a bit of progress on the army.

These models, along with everything else completed this far, bring me to 1120 without Be’lakor, 1475 without. Of course, with the rather random bits and pieces I’ve painted, that’s nowhere near a usable force. Yet…
