StoryBundle: 2023 World SF

I first found Storybundle earlier this month. It seemed pretty cool. Generally, they do sci-fi and fantasy-themed ebook bundles. This latest bundle collates interesting, new sci-fi stories from around the world.

This one is curated by Lavie Tidhar, himself a winner of the 2012 World Fantasy Award for Best Novel for his novel, Osama.

As is common for these bundles, the offer is split into tiers. To get the initial 4 items, it will cost you $5. For this sum, you will recieve:

  • Unto the Godless What Little Remains by Mário Coelho
  • Signal to Noise by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
  • Ion Curtain by Anya Ow
  • Hadithi & the State of Black Speculative Fiction by Eugen Bacon and Milton Davis

To get the full bundle of 10 items, it will cost $20. The additional 6 items, marked as ‘bonus’ in the images above, are:

  • Nova Hellas: Stories from Future Greece edited by Francesca T Barbini and Francesco Verso
  • The Love Machine & Other Contraptions by Nir Yaniv
  • & This is How to Stay Alive by Shingai Njeri Kagunda
  • And What Can We Offer You Tonight by Premee Mohamed
  • Of Dragons, Feasts and Murders by Aliette de Bodard
  • HebrewPunk by Lavie Tidhar

I like that this is actually an annual bundle. StoryBundle does a World SF bundle every year, and this is the sixth year that they’ve done so.

The first item to particularly grab my interest is Unto the Goddess What Little Remains. The idea of this strange love story featuring all-knowing AIs is appealing. It’s timely, too.

And What Can We Offer You Tonight also jumps out at me, along with Tidhar’s own offering, HewbrewPunk.

As usual, these bundles represent a great way to find and experience new writers.
