Bundle of Holding: Science Fiction Maps

Usually, a Bundle of Holding focuses on an RPG and some supplements. Sometimes it’s a selection of smaller games. Sometimes it’s a wee bit different. This is one such time, with this bundle featuring a selection of battlemaps for your roleplaying games.

You have options in how to use these maps. You can print them. That’s possible, but not ideal for a lot of people. More likely, you can take your maps and load them into a virtual tabletop platform like Roll20, Foundry VTT, or Fantasy Grounds. Or whatever you use.

There’s also a range of different quality options, with low- and high-res versions of each map available. There are so many files, and with such quality, that you’re looking at 23gb of content, all told.

The first tier of the bundle costs $14.95 and gets you the following items:

I like the visual style of these maps. I’d most likely use them for Traveller, in which case I could see myself using the Asteroid Base and Greywing. I’m probably less likely to use The Locus, but I think they would look great for a more horror-oriented game.

The upper tier of this bundle is priced on a threshold. At the time of writing, that threshold is sitting at $28.17. For this sum, you get all of the content from the upper tier, plus the following items:

The Cantina map is very Star Wars. I think I prefer the Prison Mine. It’s a multi-map pack, showing different parts of the facility and giving you more to explore.

I think that if you need maps, this is handy. It’s something I really need, so the asking price is just a tad steep for this to be a pure impulse purchase for me. That said, you’re definitely getting decent maps and good quality for your money.
