Completed: Trugg!

This is an unusually quick turnaround for me. As highlighted in last week’s 5 on Friday, Trugg only came out on Saturday and I’m really chuffed that I got him right out of the box, built, and painted!

The main reason that I shofted my focus to Trugg was the realisation that my Flesh-Eater Courts army just is not going to be ready for my tournament in October. I think it should have been, but I’ve had a slower month, hobbywise and I’m not going to catch up in time.

So, then, we return to the classic proposal of taking Troggs to tournaments! #Trogglife!

Here’s Trugg, king of Troggoths:

The model was okay to put together. There were a few gaps, but it wasn’t too bad. The model consisted of fewer pieces than I’d expected, and that’s definitely a good thing.

I initially painted him red and it was a bit much. I switched things up a bit by drybrushing him in beige to bring the brightness down. It’s a bit messy, but he looks a lot better!

Next up, I need to decide if I would rather play a Trugg list, or use Trugg in a more typical Gitz list. I’m leaning towards the latter.
