It’s Friday (and Friday the 13th, no less!), and that usually means it’s time for 5 on Friday. This week I’ve been travelling l and those posts are a pain to make on the phone, so instead I’m just going to share the last of the models I have finished up for tomorrow’s Warhammer: Age of Sigmar tournament I’m Inverness.
Having finished the Mancrusher Gargants earlier this week, I just had the Kruleboyz to finish up. Namely, the Regiment of Renown, Grikk’s Kruleshots. This consists of two units of 3 Man-skewer Boltboyz and a Beast-skewer Killbow:
These were, in some ways, trickier than the Gargants. There were more (and finer) details, and it was a real pain to get in and among the Killbow. In hindsight, it would have been a lot easier to paint it before putting it on the base. Of course, I’ve said that before and continue to do nothing to change my behaviours.
The Boltboys were tricky as well, but not as much as I had expected. They were alright, really. I based the colour scheme for skin and robes on my only other completed Kruleboy; my Breaka Boss.
I have been playing around with the Army Painter Speedpaint metallics for a wee while now, and I do think they’re great. The ly altered a godsend here:
That’s everything painted for this weekend. Wish me luck though, to be honest, I don’t think I’ll get far with the list. It’ll be fun, though!
