Throwback Thursday: Coming Home to Age of Sigmar

I’ve said it before; I was not a fan of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar when it was released. It replaced Warhammer Fantasy Battles and the first edition was, frankly, pretty terrible, at least until the release of the first General’s Handbook.

Today’s throwback post was written a few months into my first real go at properly embracing Age of Sigmar. I was enjoying it a lot, and I was enjoying putting together a Tzeentch army. I’m actually a lot further on with the newer incarnation of my Tzeentch army.

It took a while for me to really fall in love with Age of Sigmar, and I think that took until lockdown, really. Tracking it on my top 50 lists, Age of Sigmar occupied position 16 in both 2017 and 2018, dropping down to 24 in 2019. Skip ahead to 2022, following two years of Covid-related hiatus, and it’s number 1.

It’s cool to look back on where this journey started, and so I submit for your reading today, this Thursday’s throwback:
