New Release: Carrion Oracle

It’s been over 3 months since our last new product was released on DriveThruRPG. This was a Fiasco Playset, Mayhem in Maryhill, based on Scottish Sitcoms such as Still Game. Today, we’re squeezing in an extra release just before the end of the year.

Having previously released the MÖRK BORG class, the Outlandsknecht, I wasn’t entirely happy with how it was put together. The content was fine, but the layout and presentation left a lot to be desired. It was cool, but the layout was too busy. This led to it not being as legible or accessible as I wanted it to be. It’s also been the least successful item that I’ve published.

I’m still learning when it comes to this sort of thing, but I’m hoping that I’m upping my game as I go along. Certainly, I feel that I’ve learned some lessons from previous mistakes in putting together our latest offering, Carrion Oracle:

My Blurb for the PDF reads:

In the desolate reaches of the wastelands, where death permeates the air and decay is the only constant, a mysterious order of seers known as the Carrion Oracles emerges from the shadows. These enigmatic figures are practitioners of a forbidden art, delving into the secrets that lie beyond the veil of mortality. The Carrion Oracles have an unsettling communion with the deceased, drawing upon the essence of the afterlife to glean glimpses of the future.

As part of the PDF, I’ve included a poem in Old English. One might say I’m finally using my degree. Good luck making sense of that bit! At least it’s not necessary for play.

Given that my main goal was to improve legibility in comparison to my previous MÖRK BORG and CY_BORG releases, I’m actually pretty happy with this.
