Well, I guess I’m going down the Pestilens route, eh? Following on from finishing my Skabbik’s Plaguepack, I set about a much older miniature; namely Lord Skrolk. This is the classic Pestilens miniature and I’ve had him sitting for a long time.
I think he turned out okay, though this wasn’t helped by his being gunked up by old paint that I couldn’t seem to shift as much as I’d have liked to:

He’ll serve as a Plague Priest in my army. At the moment, I’m only going for one Plague Priest in my planned list, but I’ll likely want to expand with more in the future.
Something interesting is that this miniature came out, I believe, in 1993, while Skabbik came out in 2023. It’s cool to look at how far Games Workshop has come in 30 years:

Skrolk holds up reasonably well, but Skabbik is a really beautiful miniature that manages to both maintain the relative simplicity of Pestilens miniatures and provide some interesting details. If this is a sign for things to come in the Skaven range, then that’s fantastic.
