My slow grow challenge commitments have fallen apart somewhat over the past month or so, when I have been largely unable to settle in for longer hobby sessions due to ill-health. As a result, I’ve been picking away at stuff quite slowly and just not actually managed to do all that much.
Now, the storm seems to have broken, somewhat. Today, I’m happy to finally be able to share some models I was meant to finish back in March, and which I finally finished last night. These are, of course, the Infernal Guard:
I can’t say that I feel super happy with these, but I’m glad they’re finished. I’ve just not been making all that much progress, so it feels good to get a nice chunk of 20 miniatures finished.
Now, onto those missile troops! I don’t see myself getting all 40 finished this month, but I can see myself being broadly able to catch up next month. I’ve managed to already finish June’s Empire and Chaos Dwarf character minis, so that buys me a wee bit of time! We’ll see how things hold up.
Now, as I did with the Halberdiers, here’s some background for this regiment of Infernal Guard:
Zarnak’s Fist

Beyond their martial skill, the Infernal Guard are devout followers of Zarnak’s prophetic visions, believing fervently in the inevitable ascendancy of the Chaos Dwarfs. They see themselves as the chosen champions of Hashut, the Bull God, and are willing to commit any atrocity in his name. Their loyalty to Zarnak knows no bounds, and they will stop at nothing to ensure the realisation of his dark ambitions.

They march to war with heads held high, their dark armour gleaming in the fires of the volcanic realm they call home.
