Humble Bundle: Call of Cthulhu Encore

If you were at all interested in our Game of the Month post for September, then brace yourselves for some thrilling news. The Call of Cthulhu Encore Bundle has made a triumphant return on Humble Bundle, and it’s packed with even more spine-chilling content to satiate your Lovecraftian cravings.

This encore edition is a treasure trove for both newcomers and seasoned veterans of the Call of Cthulhu RPG. For a mere $25, you can unlock over $425 worth of digital content, including:

There’s a truly huge amount of content here. As usual, Humble Bundle are terrible at constructing bundles, with the core rules being in the highest tier. Yes, we get it, they suck. They really do. But, back on the content, there’s a load of great resources. In addition to the core rules and the starter set, there are supplements; so many supplements. Some highlights include:

  • Petersen’s Abominations – I’ve recently played through one of the adventures in this book and had an absolute blast with it. I’d love to try another of these scenarios.
  • Berlin – I like setting books, generally. This one, focusing on Berlin, is really beautiful and has a lot of really great story hooks.
  • The Grand Grimoire of Cthulhu Mythos Magic – A comprehensive collection of spells and magical lore for your campaigns. Magic is such an intrinsic part of Call of Cthulhu; but one that needs a measured, often minimalistic approach.
  • Pulp Cthulhu – Another great setting book, this adds a pulp action twist to your Call of Cthulhu games, with new rules and scenarios to help adapt to the slightly more adventurous tone.
  • Malleus Monstorum – You know I had to include the bestiary! This is a two-volume set with some 250+ entries, detailed lore, beautiful illustrations, and creature creation guidance. This is one of the real gems of the game line.

This Call of Cthulhu bundle is more than just a collection of books; it’s an invitation to explore the darkest corners of the human psyche and beyond. With Halloween just around the corner, there’s no better time to immerse yourself in the Lovecraftian world of eldritch horror.

It also really is a fantastic offering in terms of value. Grab it and you’ve got more than you’ll ever really need to start running some fantastic games of Call of Cthulhu.
