The Mongoose edition of Traveller is pretty fantastic. As an RPG that is both fun and pragmatic, I really appreciate it. I’ve run one game of it and played in a few one-shots. I’m keen to run the game again as my campaign petered out somewhat as our group drifted apart due to occurrences that occurred. As we learned from Jurassic Park, life finds a way… to really get in the way of our RPG campaigns.
Now, Bundle of Holding is offering two Traveller-themed bundles. Huzzah! One is a collection of recent core books, whilst the other is focused on building a setting for your campaigns. Let’s take a look and see if the deals are worthwhile.
Bundle 1: Traveller 2024 Update
Bundle of Holding has just launched an exciting offer for the Traveller 2024 Update bundle, perfect for fans of the classic science fiction roleplaying game, Traveller. The bundle features the latest updated books for the current Mongoose 2nd edition of the game. The bundle consists of a single tier, priced at $17.95 and including these 5 items:

- Traveller Core Rulebook Update 2022: The updated core rulebook with all the latest rules and changes.
- Traveller Companion Update 2024: A refurbished version of the companion book, packed with new content and insights.
- Adventure Class Ships: Explore a variety of starships and their capabilities.
- Small Craft Catalogue: Dive into the details of smaller vessels and their uses in your campaigns.
- Robot Handbook: Learn about different types of robots and their roles in the Traveller universe.
This bundle is perfect for both new and experienced Traveller players as it gives a really comprehensive starting collection. Whether you’re planning to run your own campaign or join a group of adventurers, this collection has everything you need to get started and expand your game.
I don’t think you can argue against this being anything but a bargain. It’s great for both players and GMs and the content to price ratio is fantastic. The game itself is really excellent.

Bundle 2: Traveller Sectors
The second of our Traveller bundles is this absolute treasure trove of world and sector construction guides, sourcebooks, and adventures that will enrich any Traveller campaign.
This is a bundle that is made of two tiers. The first of these tiers costs $17.95 and gets to 6 items:

- Sector Construction Guide: This guide provides detailed instructions on how to create and develop sectors within the Traveller universe.
- World Builder’s Handbook: A comprehensive resource for creating worlds, including planets, moons, and other celestial bodies.
- The Third Imperium: A guide to the Core Sector, the heart of the Third Imperium galactic empire.
- Core Adventures: Three adventures to get you started:
- Invasive Species: A thrilling mission involving an alien threat.
- Last Call at Eneri’s Cantina: A classic bar brawl with a twist.
- Errant Lightning: A high-stakes adventure involving a mysterious storm.
The second tier of this bundle is priced on a threshold which, at the time of writing, is sitting at $41.44. For one of these bundles that does seem quite high, but it includes all six items from the first tier plus a further 7:

- Spinward Extents: Explore the Spinward Marches, a well-known sector in Traveller lore.
- Behind the Claw: Delve into the mysteries of the Claw, a region known for its intrigue and danger.
- The Deep and the Dark: Venture into the uncharted depths of space.
- The Trailing Frontier: Discover the frontier regions beyond the core sectors.
- Rim Expeditions: Embark on expeditions to the outer rim of Charted Space.
- Aliens of Charted Space V3: Learn about the various alien species inhabiting Charted Space.
- Aliens of Charted Space V4: Continue your exploration of alien species with this additional supplement.
With over 2,600 pages of content, the Traveller Sectors Bundle is a fantastic resource for any Traveller campaign. Really, this one feels a lot like it’s aimed squarely at GMs rather than players. This is all about building up a campaign. Yeah, I think that’s fair. It’s a great bundle for anyone running a campaign.
