Stillfleet is a far-future science fiction RPG that invites players to become voidminers; explorers working for the enigmatic Worshipful Company of Stillfleeters, or simply “the Co.” Operating from the Spindle, a mysterious alien space station shaped like a kilometers-long sea slug, voidminers venture through timespace gates to explore abandoned spacecraft, habitable planets, and ancient ruins.
This is not a game I’d heard of until it popped up on Bundle of Holding, but it sounds right up my street! It seemingly combines science fiction, social commentary, and boundless creativity. For what more could I ask?
The game uses the flexible Grit System, which supports a wide range of play styles, from gritty hard sci-fi to psionic space wizards. Players can create characters from diverse sapient species, including post-humans, giant bugs, mobile xeno-cacti, and AI holograms. Whether you’re battling acid-spitting xenos or navigating corporate intrigue, Stillfleet seems to offer a unique blend of humor, horror, and high-stakes adventure.
So, to the bundle! The first tier will cost you $9.95 and gets you two items:

- Stillfleet Core Rulebook: The complete guide to the game’s mechanics, lore, and character creation.
- Subtle Fluid: A nanotech-themed expansion that introduces new character options and abilities.
Clearly, this is the core. This has the core rulebook that all players will need, along with a supplement that gives more character options for players. This is the starting point for everyone.
The second tier is aimed more at the GM. This is to help yo run the game. It’s priced on the threshold which, at the time of writing, is sitting at $21.03. That threshold price gets you everything in the previous tier, plus the following three items:

- Qadida: A regional gazetteer focused on espionage and intrigue.
- Peregrinations Volume 1: An anthology of eight scenarios that take players across the cosmos.
- Sleeper in the Sky: A full-length introductory venture that sets the stage for epic exploration.
Espionage rules, scenarios, and a full-length adventure? Yeah, this is definitely the GM tier. The price of both tiers are pretty reasonable, and you get a lot for your money.
That price makes this bundle very tempting for me, as the game looks to be thematically appealing, with Rich Worldbuilding; from the Spindle to distant planets, Stillfleet seems just packed with imaginative settings and compelling narratives. The rules also seem pretty innovative, and the Grit System appers to offer a fresh approach to RPG mechanics, emphasising flexibility and creativity. The aspects of social commentary are also very appealing. The game explores themes of corporate exploitation and resistance, adding depth to your adventures.
This is one that I am pretty likely to go and pick up!
