It’s Friday, and here on No Rerolls that means it’s time for an all-new 5 on Friday. We’re going to start with 5 exciting releases for this week before moving on to our usual digest of some of our favourite articles from the past week. Of course, we’re slow readers, so don’t be surprised if there are some articles that are a little older – these are just some of the great articles we happen to have actually read in the past week.
Releases & Previews
Every week there are many games, books, and miniatures released. This will probably be a mix of previews, preorders, and releases, and with release dates being the way they are in this industry, it’s always pretty approximate. Excuses out of the way, here are 5 of the releases that caught our attention this week:
Games Workshop releases a new Codex for Warhammer 40,000’s Imperial Knights – The ground shakes, the banners rise, and the Knight Houses roar back into battle. Games Workshop has dropped the new Imperial Knights Codex for 10th Edition:

Inside the book, you will find revamped datasheets, flexible detachment builds, and a heraldry guide that’ll make your Knights look as legendary as they play. No Combat Patrol, but there’s plenty here for collectors and commanders alike. Just… we all know that Chaos Knights are cooler, yeah?

Wizards of the Coast is taking preorders for new Forgotten Realms supplement for Dungeons & Dragons – Last week, we looked at the GM-centric Forgotten Realms book. Today, we look at the player-facing supplement. Whether you’re a Harper, a Zhent, or something stranger, this book lets you write your legend:

Inside the book, you’ll find 8 subclasses, 34 feats, 18 backgrounds, and a primer on 42 gods. Circle Magic adds a fresh twist to spellcasting, and faction play gets mechanical teeth. It’s Faerûn, but with player-first depth.

Preorders open for First Strike, the first set for the World of Tanks TCG – First Strike launches the World of Tanks TCG with over 220 cards of tactical mayhem. This booster box is your ticket to rare tanks, brutal combos, and battlefield dominance.

The booster box includes 24 packs of cards, each full of tank units, crew upgrades, and faction synergies. Whether you’re building fast flanking decks or heavy armour walls, this Wave 1 release fuels your arsenal for strategic warfare. There seems to be a resurgence of new TCGs at the moment. Will this be one to stick around? I’m not sure if Archon has the infrastructure for longevity. We’ll see…

Cubicle 7 releases a 5E version of the Victoriana RPG – Magic, machines, and revolution collide! Victoriana returns for 5E with a full corebook and adventure set. It’s alt-history London, reimagined for mystery, monsters, and moral choices.

Victoriana’s had a good run so far, and is really loved by a good fanbase. This new edition is packed with new roles, occult powers, and social intrigue mechanics built for 5E. With Dreadful Inquiries, you’ll chase conspiracies through gaslit alleys and gilded halls, shaping the fate of a world on the brink.

Ravensburger releases Fabled, the 9th set for Lorcana – Fabled marks a turning point for Lorcana; new mechanics, dazzling art, and the debut of A Goofy Movie characters. It’s Disney magic with competitive bite.:

This is an interesting set, offering fresh ink synergies and a meta-shifting card pool. Prerelease buzz is strong, and collectors are already chasing standout foils. The most interesting thing, however, will be the reprints, now that Lorcana has entered an MTG-style rotation.

Blog Posts & Articles
The meat of 5 on Friday, the articles are listed in no particular order, so let’s get into some recommendations:
First Look: Dragon Delves Adventure Anthology @ Burn After Running – It looks like this book made a good first impression. I do like this sort of book, which gives a series of short adventures that can either be used as one-off sessions or incorporated into larger narratives.
Finishing Touches – Rangers and a Self-Indulgent Farseer @ Twitchy Bristles – I’m still really enjoying watching this army come together. It’s a nice colour scheme, and I like the twist of the Genestealer Cult-infested Craftworld.
Index Card Dungeon II – Map 14 – Cave of the Candleman @ Dyson’s Dodecahedron – I’ve not read this blog in ages, but stumbled across a post this week. I forgot how cool their wee maps were! Go have a rummage.
Wachtmeister’s Warmaster Challenge Month 1 @ The Wachtmeister’s Patrol – I’d love it if I could find folk near here to try Warmaster. It’s such a solid ruleset, and I think I’d enjoy painting it up. The minis in this post look great, and I’ll be following this series.
Dark Heresy (1e) – Concluding Thoughts @ Ill Met by Morrslieb – A nice conclusion to a good series. Dark Heresy is a great game, though I do prefer Rogue Trader. This includes links back to previous entries in the series, which I definitely recommend that you read.
