Every so often, I realise that my Commander decks have drifted away from what I originally built them to do. A few new cards get slotted in, a few old ones get quietly retired, and before long the list in my head doesn’t quite match the list in the deck box. So I’ve started a slow, steady review of the whole lot. I’m not looking at a dramatic overhaul, just a proper look at what’s actually in each deck and whether it still earns its place.
So let’s take a look at each of them! Lets ask if this deck still plays the way I think it does. Does it still feel like my version of that commander? Are there cards I’ve kept out of habit rather than purpose? Commander decks accumulate cruft the way bookshelves accumulate things you meant to read. A bit of pruning never hurts.

As I work through them, I’m adding each deck to a new Commander Decks page on the site. The idea is simple: one place where all my lists live, along with a link to the review. Some will be polished, some will be scrappy, and some will be in that familiar “it works, but don’t look too closely” state. That’s part of the charm.
This will take time. I’m not rushing it, and I’m not pretending it’s a grand project. It’s just a quiet bit of upkeep; a chance to look at my decks with fresh eyes, tidy up the ones that need it, and give readers a clearer picture of what I’m playing. The page will fill out as I go, and I’ll keep updating it whenever a deck gets a meaningful tweak.
If you enjoy seeing how other people build and rebuild their Commander piles, keep an eye on it. And if nothing else, this process is already reminding me why I love the format: it’s messy, personal, and always changing.
