With this year being mostly focused on RPG miniatures, including a big run of food-based miniatures, I’m now turning my attention back, to some extent, to Warhammer. Or Warhammers. Both of them.
First, I wanted to return to my FEC to add a bit of a monstrous detachment. Dragons! Given my questing knights theme, I am feeling living, majestic dragons instead of the zombie dragons and terrorgheists that feature in the official miniatures line. I finished basing up a pair of Archon dragons, and have ordered a further two. Here are the ones that are already built:

Staying on the AoS theme, I painted Festus last week. I’ve still got his buddies to finish. These are the trio of Sloven Knights:

As I start on them, I can’t tell if I’m enjoying painting them or not. They looked pretty detailed at first, but I also think they’ll be quick. There are too many fabrics involved to go with my usual scheme of just pink. I might need some black, too.
I’ve also turned my attention back to 40K and my Necrons army. I grabbed 4 miniatures:

I’m really liking them. Tonight, I hope to get them primed up. I have a game using some of them tomorrow.
I’m printing up some miniatures to use as normal Lokhust Destroyers, as I really don’t want to use the old miniatures.
Also, here’s the obligatory picture of the Chaos Knights that I may someday get around to painting:

Probably not…
Perhaps some Necrons? Maybe some Daemons?
We’ll see.
