People seem really excited for the upcoming sequel to Vampire: the Masquerade – Bloodlines. The game was a sleeper hit and is still spoken of very fondly today, some 15 years after the original release. The thing is, Bloodlines 2 is not the only World of Darkness video game on the way.
For some time we’ve been aware that a game based on Werewolf: The Apocalypse has been in development. Bigben games, publisher of this game, dropped a reveal trailer yesterday. Take a look:
I had not heard of Bigben before, but it turns out they are also publishing the upcoming Paranoia game that I am looking forward to, the recently announced Vampire: the Masquerade – Swansong.
The trailer focuses heavily on the main character, Cahal. Cahal is a Werewolf, exiled from his tribe. He has returned to fight for his tribe after a company starts an oil extraction project on their land. This company is a a subsidiary of the massive Pentex corporation, a major antagonist in the tabletop RPG.
The trailer doesn’t reveal a lot about gameplay, but hopefully the tone conveyed is accurate to what will be in the final product, as it does seem quite brutal! Time will tell, I suppose.
