Throwback Thursday: Golem Art in Century

There are some games that are just beautiful. In terms of gameplay, I’d long liked the look of Century: Spice Road for some time, but hadn’t pulled the trigger on actually picking it up. It was seeing the Golem edition that changed my mind. It had the same fantastic gameplay as the original, but with a much cooler, fantastical visual style.

The game is a very regular staple among our gaming group. It’s probably my most played game of the past few years. A big part of that is how easy it is to get to the table, and how accessible it is for most groups.

The artwork is so whimsical and fun that it really caught my eye. The art is by Justin Chan who produces a huge amount of really beautiful art which can be found on his ArtStation profile.

His art for this edition of Century really is one of the highlights:
